Tourist Attractions: Uganda is known for its scenic mountains, lush tropical forest and rare wildlife, including mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. Tourist attractions in Uganda include the bustling capital city of Kampala, the town of Jinja with old Asian-style buildings; the snow-capped Ruwenzori Mountains and the spectacular Sipi Falls. Uganda also has some of the finest wildlife parks in the world including the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Ruwenzori National Park and the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Tourists can also enjoy activities like nature trekking, mountaineering, whitewater rafting and exploring the source of the Nile in Uganda.

Access: Many airlines including British Airways, Egyptair, Emirates and Gulf Air operate direct flights to Uganda but most tourists use Nairobi (Kenya) as a gateway and then travel by bus to Uganda. Regular buses operate between Kampala and Nairobi and Dar-es-Salaam.

Climate: Uganda has a tropical climate with average temperature ranging between 21-25°C, which varies according to altitude. It has two rainy seasons and two dry seasons. While the rainy seasons stretch from March to May and again from October to November, the dry seasons occur from December to February and again from June to August.
