Tourist Attractions: Trinidad and Tobago is a beautiful Caribbean nation, consisting of 2 large and 21 smaller islands. The capital, Port-of-Spain, is known for its colonial architecture and cosmopolitan culture. Tourist attractions include the Asa Wright Nature Center, famous for birds and hiking trails, Tobago Forest Reserve, and Scarborough, the capital of Tobago, known for tranquil surroundings and Botanical Gardens. Other tourist attractions include the 18th century Fort King George, Pitch Lake, Argyle Falls, the exotic beaches of Pigeon Point, Maracas Bay and Turtle Beach, the extensive Buccoo Reef and Speyside, a lively beach settlement, with excellent conditions for snorkeling and scuba diving.
 
Access: Many airlines operate direct flights to Trinidad and Tobago from various destinations in USA, Canada, Europe, South America and other Caribbean Islands. LIAT, the major carrier in the Caribbean, offers nonstop flights between Port of Spain and St Lucia, Grenada and St Croix. Cruise ships and yachts also cover these islands.

Climate: Trinidad enjoys a tropical climate tempered by the northeast trade winds. The islands have two seasons: dry (November to May) and rainy (June to December), with June through October being the hottest period. Tobago has a cool and pleasant climate all year round, with May to July being the wettest time.
