Location: Southern tip of Africa, along the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean coasts and bordering Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

Tourist Attractions: South Africa is the richest nation in the Africa, known for beautiful towns, spectacular mountains, vast deserts, white sand beaches and amazing wildlife.  Tourist attractions in South Africa include Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Kimberley, Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown; wildlife parks including Kruger National Park; Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and Addo Elephant National Park. The Cango Caves, Jeffreys Bay, Great Karoo Desert, and Amatola Mountains, waterfalls including the famous Bridal Veil and Madonna waterfalls are other attractions. Tourists can also enjoy wildlife safaris, nature walking, hiking, whale watching and fishing.

 

Access: South Africa is very well connected by air. Many airlines operate direct and indirect flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town from Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. Cruise lines connect South Africa to various islands in the Indian Ocean. There is a rail link between South Africa and Zimbabwe, Botswana and Mozambique. Tourists can also cross borders from Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.

Climate: South Africa generally has a semiarid climate, which varies considerably. It has two seasons: hot and humid summer (December to April) and cool and pleasant winter (May to November).
