Tourist Attractions: Samoa is a paradise tourist island with its beaches and verdant rainforests. The major tourist feature on the island is Vailima, the restored home of Robert Louis Stevenson that now functions as a museum. Tourists can also hike up the hill to have a look at his tomb. Other tourist attractions include Papasee'a Sliding Rock that is actually a waterfall into a jungle pool, the idyllic south coast of Upolu with its sparkling beaches, and Lake Lanoto'o that offers great opportunities for swimming.

Access: The Faleolo International Airport at Apia receives international flights from New Zealand, Hawai and Tonga. Many yachts also dock at the the harbors at Apia and Asau.

Climate: A tropical climate ensures that Samoa has high humidity and heavy rainfall from October to April and general temperatures hovering around 20°C (68°F) and 30°C throughout the year.
