Access: Many international airlines operate flights to St. Kitts and Nevis. American Airlines offers regular direct flights from Miami. Other airlines operate flights via Antigua, Guadeloupe, Puerto Rico or St Martin. A number of cruise liners regularly visit the island’s deep-water port at Basseterre. Regular ferry services also connect St Kitts to St Martin.
Climate: St. Kitts and Nevis has a hot and tropical climate tempered by steady northeast trade winds with little seasonal temperature variation. The island has two seasons – dry season (December to March) and rainy season (April to November). St Kitts also faces the threat of violent hurricanes between August and October.
