Tourist Attractions: Tourists are advised to avoid Rwanda’s borders with Burundi and Democratic Republic of Congo. The rest of this small mountainous country in Central Africa, is peaceful and safe. Rwanda is famous for its rare wildlife, including mountain gorillas. Tourist attractions in Rwanda include the cities of Kigali and Gisenyi, Musée National du Rwanda- famous for its archaeological and ethnographical displays, Parc Nacional des Volcans, known for its active volcanoes and gorilla population, Parc Nacional Nyungwe Forest (national park), A’ Kagera National Park, Lake Kivu, Lake Mungesera and the Rusumo Falls. Visitors can also enjoy a range of exciting activities like gorilla tracking, wildlife safaris and mountain trekking.

Access: Many African airlines have direct flights to Rwanda from various destinations in Africa. For other international destinations, one needs to take a connecting flight from these African countries. Regular bus services also connect Rwanda with neighboring countries of Uganda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania.

Climate: Rwanda has a year-round temperate climate with average temperature ranging between a low of 15°C at night to a high of 30°C during the day. Most parts of Rwanda receive annual precipitation in excess of 100 cm. There are two seasons, a rainy season  (February to May) and a dry season (July to September).
