Tourist Attractions: Portugal’s tourist attractions are myriad and unique. The chapel of Igreja de Sao Roque is fabled for its gold, marble and Florentine tiles as well as the Capela de São João Baptista inside the chapel. Tourists also visit the Torre de Belem, a hexagonal chess piece tower symbolizes Portugal's glorious triumphs in the Age of Discoveries. Other major sightseeing options include the well preserved Roman ruins at Conimbriga that also has a museum showcasing excellent displays and the Musee Calouste Gulbenkian museum housing over 6000 total pieces. For adventure loving tourists, the Parque Nationale de Penade Grenes serves as the perfect excursion. Apart from the superb landscape on view, the wilderness park provides excellent opportunities for hiking, camping, horse riding, mountain biking and canoe riding as well.

Access: Portugal has excellent train connections with France and Spain. It also has international flights from England, France, Spain, the USA and Canada.

Climate: Portugal has pleasant weather from April to October while November to March are the rainy months. The climate can be described as temperate and maritime in nature.
