Tourist Attractions: Philippines is an archipelago of around 7000 islands. The beautiful country is currently experiencing ethnic and religious tensions in some regions such as Zamboanga peninsula, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi and Sulu in Mindanao where foreign tourists can be a likely target. Apart from that, the major tourist attractions include the volcanic lake of Taal and Chocolate Hills that are great for trekking along with the Cantabon Cave with its steep vertical climbs and waist deep water. March to May are very hot and the months of November to February cooler than the others. Areas exposed to the Pacific Ocean are prone to rainfall at short intervals.
