Tourist Attractions: Palau has some of the best examples of marine flora and fauna and is known for its great dive sites. The Blue Corner is a renowned dive site known especially for its corals and sea life that includes barracudas and schooling sharks. The Ngemelis Wall is also a great wall dive and is even perfect for snorkeling. For archaeological buffs, the Badrulchau basalt monoliths are a treat to explore. These 37 stones, standing tall amidst fields are of an unknown origin.
Access: There are daily flights from Guam, and Philippines twice a week as well as chartered flights from Taiwan to the only airport at Koror. There are hardly any passenger vehicles from outside countries except for the occasional private yacht and live-aboard dive boats.
Climate: The climate is tropical in nature, but is tempered by the cool sea breeze. Palau receives heavy rainfall from May to November.
