Tourist attractions in Haiti include the cities of Port-au-Prince, Cap-Haïtien and Jacmel, known for their excellent colonial structures, lush green mountains and superb beaches. Among not to be missed attractions in Haiti are the spectacular Bassins Bleu Waterfall, Étang Saumâtre Lake (Haiti's largest saltwater lake with over 100 species of water birds), Parc National Historique La Citadelle (mountaintop fortress), Parc Macaya (national park), and the ruins of Sans Souci Palace (near Cap-Haïtien). Visitors can also enjoy a range of exciting activities like swimming, snorkeling, spear fishing, sailing, canoeing and water-skiing.

Access: Haiti has two international airports at Port-au-Prince andCap-Haïtien, well connected by air with the USA, Canada, the French West Indies and France. American Airlinesoperates daily flights from London to Port-au-Prince, via New York. Labadie is the famous port of call for many cruise lines. Regular bus services also connect Haiti with neighboring Dominican Republic

Climate: Haiti enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures changing according to altitude. The country experiences intermittent rainfall all round the year.
