It also has two overseas dependencies - Greenland and Faroe Islands. Tourist attractions in Denmark include the Viking Ship Museum, Christianborg Palace, the Rosenborg Castle and the statue of the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen. The superb sandy beaches of Jutland and the largest Viking burial ground in Denmark at Aalborg are other popular attractions. For children, a trip to Legoland - a theme park where everything is made of Lego bricks, is a must.
Access: The ScanRail connects Denmark through train to Germany and Sweden. Ferry services to Denmark are available from Germany, Iceland, United Kingdom and Sweden. Demark is also serviced by two major international airports, the Copenhagen Airport and the Aarhus Airport.
Climate: Denmark has cool summers and cold, windy winters. Overall, the climate is generally temperate in nature.
