Tourist Attractions: The ongoing civil war between the government and rebel forces in the northern part of the country make traveling to Cote d’Ivoire dangerous at this point of time. It has a beautiful church named the Basilique de Notre Dame de la Paix that is patterned on St Peter's Church at the Vatican. The Parc National de la Comoë has diverse wildlife like including, elephants, hippos, monkeys and antelopes among others. The region of Grand Bassam has some great beaches dotted with seafood restaurants.
Access: There are hardly any flights to Cote d’Ivoire these days due to the ongoing tensions between the government and rebel forces. Even train services to Burkina Faso have been suspended for the while.
Climate: Hot and humid days prevail in Cote d’Ivoire year round, except for August. Rainfall ceases for a while from December to March.
