Location: Caribbean, 2 islands between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, located east-southeast of Puerto Rico

Tourist Attractions: The islands of Antigua and Barbuda are known worldwide for their 365 beaches. There are many natural harbors, bays, coral reefs and shipwrecks along the coast that offer venues for water sports, such as diving and snorkeling. Barbuda is famous for rare Frigate Birds and bird watchers can tour the largest rookery in the Caribbean. Nelson’s Dockyard, the English Harbour and Betty’s Hope, a sugar plantation, are other tourist attractions in Antigua and Barbuda.

Access: There are many direct flights to Antigua and Barbuda during the peak tourist season (December-April). In the off-season there are direct or connecting flights on LIAT, the major inter-island carrier, from many Caribbean islands to Antigua.  All flights to Barbuda connect at VC Bird Airport in Antigua. St John's is the main port for cruise ships while yachts can arrive at English Harbour, Jolly Harbour, Falmouth Harbour, Parham Sound and St John's Harbour.
