Swiss International Airlines Ltd , is the main airline of Switzerland. Swiss International Airlines has operating flights in Europe and to North America, South America, Africa and Asia. Its main hub is Zurich Kloten Airport. The Airlines was formed in 2001 after the bankcrupty of Swissair which was formerly the official carrier of Switzerland. The airline has applied to set up a regional airline subsidiary called Swiss European Air Lines.Presently, Swiss International airlines has around 6800 employees. SWISS operates a fleet of 69 aircraft - 18 for long-haul and 51 for medium and short-haul operations. It has strategic partnership with Lufthansa. It also have 22 Codesharing partners.
