Philippine Airlines was founded in 1941 and is also known as PAL. The first commercial airline of Asia, Philippine Airlines has its headquarters in Makati City. Its main hubs are the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport.

Philippine Airlines has a fleet size of 32 and flies to 53 international and national destinations. They include Beijing, Hong Kong, Busan, Osaka, Nagoya, Manila, Singapore, Bangkok, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Sydney and Melbourne.

Philippine Airlines offers a frequent flyer programme known as Mabuhay Miles, formerly called PALsmiles. Its member lounges are known as Mabuhay Lounges
