Korean Air,
is the largest Airline in Korea. Infact it is one of the largest
airlines in Asia. It operates a network that links Europe, Africa,
Asia, Australia, North America, and South America to its hub at
Incheon International Airport and its domestic hub at Gimpo
Airport.
Korean Air began in 1962 as Korean Air Lines and was owned by the
South Korean Government. It replaced the former Korean carrier
Korean National Airlines.Its main business unit includes Passenger
and Cargo Operations, Aerospace, Catering, Hotel & Others.
Presently it serves 14 cities in Korea and around 90 cities in 31
countries across the world.
It is a part of Sky Team. With SkyTeam's nine member airlines and
14,320 daily flights to 658 destinations in 137 countries, SkyTeam
makes life easier for frequent business travelers. To offer more
destinations and flights, Korean Air has joined forces with other
carriers to sell certain routes and flights on a shared basis.
These flights are operated by either airline and are sold under
flight numbers of both carriers.
