KLM - ROyal Dutch Airlines, was founded in Oct. 1919 for serving Netherland and Colonies. In May, 2004, KLM and Air France announced an agreement that would lead to the creation of Europe's leading airline group. In 2005, KLM had 34,848 employees worldwide, 31,051 in the Netherlands, 3,797 outside the Netherlands. KLM has 181 Aircrafts. The KLM Group serves 128 cities in 65 countries on five continents.

KLM together with Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines have joined the Sky Team alliance since September 2004 in which Air France currently cooperates with Delta Air lines, Alitalia, Korean Air,CSA Tjech Airlines and Aéro Mexico.

Air France-KLM is the main air carrier for France and the Netherlands' and its KLM subsidiary operates from the airline hub of Schiphol Airport, near Amsterdam.
