Airways Limited, is an Asian commercial airline based in Hong
Kong. It operates scheduled passenger and cargo services to 90
destinations world-wide. Its main base is Hong Kong International
Airport. Cathay Pacific Airways was founded in Shanghai on
September 24, 1946 by an American and an Australian, Roy Farrell
and Sydney de Kantzow, both ex-air force. Cathay Pacific was
recently named the Best Overall Airline in the world by Skytrax
survey. It has weekly aircraft departures of around 1250. In 2004,
it carried around 13,663,958. It also has major subsudaries and
associates across the world namely Cathay Pacific Catering Services
(HK) Limited, Cathay Pacific Holidays Limited, Vogue Laundry
